East Finchley’s tube station is a Grade II listed Art Deco landmark, rebuilt in 1939 to a Charles Holden design and topped with “The Archer”, a 10-foot statue by Eric Aumonier marking the area’s old hunting connections. The surrounding streets are mostly Edwardian and 1930s houses built up around that same period of expansion, which tends to mean cavity walls rather than solid walls — a genuinely different starting point for an EPC than the older stock we see further into Hampstead or the Garden Suburb.
What is an EPC?
